Yotta Data Services made an announcement at the 10th Vibrant Gujarat Global Summit 2024 regarding the commissioning of a Rs 500 crore data centre in the GIFT City in Gujarat. Global computing major Nvidia, its partner Yotta is set to commission an artificial intelligence data centre in the GIFT City before end of March, 2024. The US-based company is partnering with Tata Group and Reliance Industries to set up data centres.
The company has invested Rs 500 crore over the last five years to build the facility, which has a two MW power capacity. The G1 data centre offers colocation, cloud, managed IT and cyber security services to store and process, data and applications for a variety of use cases, including AI models and enterprise applications.
This is the company's fifth facility in the country after similar investments made in other states like Maharashtra, and boasts of more than 350 racks.
Further, being in the IFSC zone will serve the vision for financial services companies, whereby their data stored is subject to the laws and regulations of their home country, allowing them to maintain sovereignty. It will provide the latest technologies to help businesses set up and scale their businesses.
