Tata Group and Analog Devices (ADI), a global semiconductor leader have entered into a strategic alliance to explore potential manufacturing opportunities for semiconductor manufacturing in India. To this effect, Tata Electronics, Tata Motors, and Tejas Networks signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with ADI to enhance business cooperation, and utilise ADI’s products in applications like electric vehicles and network infrastructure.
Tata Motors and ADI aim for engagement in electronics hardware components for energy storage solutions and power electronics in both commercial and passenger vehicle businesses. Further, Tejas Networks and ADI would explore opportunities in electronics hardware components for network infrastructure. Tata Group would partner with ADI across the semiconductor value chain and ADI and Tata Group companies may collaborate to design and offer advanced products to better serve its customers.
Tata Electronics and ADI would explore opportunities to manufacture ADI’s products in Tata Electronics’ fab in Gujarat and OSAT facility in Assam. By thus combining its real-world semiconductor solutions and software expertise with Tata’s vision and capabilities, the collaboration will see the development of cutting-edge technologies.
