TP Saurya (TPSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy (TPREL), has commissioned a 200 MW solar project located in Bikaner, Rajasthan, for Tata Power Trading Company, a subsidiary of The Tata Power Company.
Expected to generate an 485 million units of energy annually, the project aligns with the company’s mission to contribute to the country's renewable energy capacity. Furthermore, the project will be seamlessly integrated into the central transmission utility (CTU) Bus for efficient distribution of clean energy across the region.
The endeavour marks a significant milestone in the renewable energy landscape, highlighting TPREL’s unwavering commitment to sustainable energy solutions. The project was completed within the designated timeline, showcasing the team's project execution and engineering expertise. The initiative will result in an estimated annual decrease of 3,88,000 tonne carbon footprint.
Also, the project involved the installation of approx. 5,23,365 modules. With the addition, the total renewables capacity of TPREL has reached 9,018 MW (PPA capacity is 7,632 MW) including 4,547 MW projects in stages of implementation and its operational capacity is 4,471 MW, comprising 3,444 MW solar and 1,027 MW wind.
