The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has completed the structural work on a four km viaduct that connects Majlis Park to Mukarba Chowk. The Janakpuri West to RK Ashram corridor of Delhi Metro Phase IV is estimated to be completed by March 2026.

The completed section of the elevated viaduct is being handover to system contractors for track laying and traction work comprising the erection of overhead electrification (OHE) and other components.

The structural work on the viaduct will shortly be completed until Haiderpur Badli. As part of Phase IV expansion, DMRC has begun constructing 65 km of new lines across three corridors. Among these, 28 km will be underground, and the remaining will be elevated. This expansion will also include the construction of 11 new interchange stations.

On 02 June 2023, a tunnel boring machine (TBM) was lowered, for tunnelling work between Derawal Nagar to Pulbangash. This TBM drive will reach a depth of up to 25.9 mtr near the Najafgarh drain and will be 5800 mtr in diameter.
