REC Power Development and Consultancy (RECPDCL), a fully owned subsidiary of REC, has successfully handed over a project-specific special purpose vehicle (SPV) to G R Infraprojects.
The SPV, named Pachora Power Transmission, is instrumental in the evacuation of power from renewable energy (RE) projects in Rajgarh (1000 MW) special economic zone (SEZ) of the state in Phase-II, a significant stride facilitated through the tariff-based competitive bidding (TBCB) process.
The handover event was witnessed by top executives from RECPDCL, Central Transmission Utility of India (CTUIL), and other key stakeholders, highlighting the collective effort toward bolstering India's renewable energy infrastructure. RECPDCL is executing all the possible efforts to ensure the growth of renewable power reforms to cater to the electricity demand.
RECPDCL, renowned for its expertise in providing consultancy and project implementation services to over 50 state power distribution companies, acts as a bid process coordinator (BPC) for TBCB in transmission line projects. It has played a pivotal role in executing critical infrastructure upgradation projects in distribution and transmission sectors in the union territory (UT) of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh, thereby significantly contributing across the power sector value chain of the country.
