Patanjali Foods has laid foundation stone for oil palm mill in Arunachal Pradesh.
It will cultivate in 3.2 lakh ha area in the North-East states. The mill is located at Industrial Growth Centre, Niglok, East Siang district, Arunachal Pradesh.
The company plans to undertake oil palm plantations on 38,000 ha of land across nine districts.
It has already established two nurseries at Pasighat and Holangi and is in the process of establishing three more nurseries in Lower Siang District at Kherram, FTC and Dipa.
Patanajali Foods plans to undertake large-scale cultivation of oil palm plantations on five lakh ha in India, out of which 3.2 lakh hectare area will be in the North Eastern region.
