Four Japanese companies — Nihon Kohden, Panasonic, Denso and T-Suzuki — have set up their respective facilities in the greenfield smart city near Gurugram. The smart city is developed by Model Economic Township (MET City), a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries.
Nihon Kohden, a manufacturer of medical devices, announced its plan to set up a manufacturing facility in the city. It carried out the groundbreaking ceremony on the largest investment plan in India.
Nihon Kohden India's new 8,900 sq mtr. haematology analyser reagent factory, coming up on 16,135 sq. m. of land which will be four times bigger than its current factory in Gujarat.
