Mitsubishi Electric Corporation will make an investment of around Rs 220 crore in its Indian subsidiary to set up a new factory near Pune in Maharashtra.
Mitsubishi Electric India, a subsidiary of the company, will manufacture inverters and other factory automation (FA) control system products.
The factory is expected to begin operations in December 2023 and will expand the company's capabilities to meet the growing demand in India.
The new two-floor, 15,400 sq mtr factory will be built on 40,000 sq mtr of land parcel near Pune.
In addition, the unit will incorporate various features aiming to achieve carbon neutrality by reducing carbon dioxide emissions by using highly efficient air conditioning systems and LED lighting equipment.
