The people of Mapusa in North Goa will get a new vegetable market and a flower market.
The Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) has proposed to develop the project through Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA).
The project was pending for years and will be taken up for construction after making some modifications to the old plan through GSUDA. There will be arrangements for about 250 vegetable vendors in the new project.
The project also envisages construction of commercial buildings with shops and offices for rent and a parking facility at the open space near old St Mary's high school building.
