Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has emerged as the lowest bidder (L1) for the redevelopment project of the RG Baruah Sports Complex located in Guwahati, Kamrup district, Assam.

Issued by Public Works Department, Assam, the company's bid value for the work stood at Rs 748.00 crore.  It is expected to create a landmark sporting destination in the North-East region, aligning with Assam’s aspirations to emerge as a major sports hub by enhancing the state’s sports infrastructure. 

The R.G. Baruah Sports Complex, an iconic venue in the region, will undergo comprehensive upgrades, including state-of-the-art training centres, upgraded stadium facilities, and modern amenities to cater to a wide range of sporting disciplines.he redevelopment initiative is part of Assam’s broader vision to foster sports excellence and provide world-class facilities to athletes.
