KfW Bank, a German state-owned investment and development bank, has shown keen interest to share the best practices in the energy efficiency domain in Andhra Pradesh’s ‘Navaratnalu Pedalandariki Illu’ housing programme.
The bank will also explore the possibility of funding the electricity distribution infrastructure in this housing programme.
The German bank has proposed financing of up to EUR 150 million for the construction of energy efficient houses, EUR two million for technical assistance.
The state plans to construct 30 lakh houses under Jagananna Housing Colonies being developed across the state, including 15.6 lakh housing units in Phase-I.
