Hyderabad-based investment management firm JV Ventures and real estate developer Terminus Group will jointly establish a USD 200 million (about Rs 1,680 crore) hospitality development platform named Madison.
The platform aims to focus on the development and management of mid-market luxury hotels in Thiruvananthapuram, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and Hyderabad. In the next five years, it plans to develop 25 assets with more than 3,000 keys. The proposed platform will get equal investment from both partners.
Madison will be the flagship product in the thematic living space called PowerPod, targeting all age groups. The hospitality platform will greatly complement its overall portfolio offering, as earlier platform focus has been across the life sciences and education sectors. This move offers an opportunity to reduce operational risks while preserving the concept of hotel ownership. The initiative reflects India's growing hospitality sector, led by increased travel and new investor interest.
