GMR Infrastructure signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Japan Bank for International Corporation (JBIC).
This pact aims to provide low cost, long duration financing to Japanese companies investing in the GMR Group’s projects.
Over the next year, GMR and JBIC will focus on identifying projects such as development of industrial parks, energy projects, and more, worthy of investment for Japanese companies.
GMR has been operating the Delhi and Hyderabad airports in collaboration with their foreign partners. It has interests in power plants, highways and urban infrastructure.
Recently, the company was awarded a 25 year concession to expand and operate the Mactan-Cebu International airport, which is the second largest airport in the Philippines.
