The GreenBillions (TGBL) is planning to set up its first plant in India to extract green hydrogen from biomass and municipal solid waste.
The project will be developed in collaboration with the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).
The project's scope is to demonstrate the technological and financial viability of waste-to-hydrogen generation.
The company's wholly-owned subsidiary Variate Pune Waste to Energy (VPWTEPL) will manage the upcoming plant in Pune.
The company will also use Pune's municipal waste of 350 tonnes per day (TPD) to generate hydrogen over a 30-year period.
