E-commerce giant Flipkart is set to open 11 new fulfilment centres, which would assist in the creation of empoyment opportunities to the tune of over 1,00,000 across the country. These will be located across nine cities and will add 1.3 million sq. ft. to Flipkart’s supply chain infrastructure, taking the count of such facilities to 83.
The expansion of the supply chain network is aimed at meeting customer demands more efficiently. The expansion will help meet the anticipated demand surge during the festive period. The roles will be across Flipkart’s supply chain operations such as inventory managers, warehouse associates, logistics coordinators, and similar profiles.
Flipkart leverages technology to optimise its supply chain operations, with automated warehouses and data-driven decision-making systems.
