The first solar park under the MukhyaMantri Saur Krishi Vahini Yojana 2.0 (MSKVY 2.0) has started generating day time power for farmers. The park of three MW capacity was activated in Dhondalgaon village in Chhatrapati Sambhaji Nagar district in Maharashtra.
The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company (MSEDCL) is leading the project. Solar energy projects of 9,200 MW are being developed under the MSKVY 2.0, with the objective of this scheme to solarise 30 percent of feeders by 2025. The total capacity is to be achieved in stages by December 2025.
The solar energy project is developed on 13-acre public land at Dhondalgaon, will be useful to provide day time power supply to 1,753 agriculture pumps connected to five electric feeders.
