Hyderabad-based energy storage technology firm Cygni Energy has announced a strategic partnership with XDLE, a global manufacturer of lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cells, to co-develop stationary energy storage solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) segment in India.
The partnership aims to develop solutions ranging from 25kWh to one MWh, and will focus on leveraging XDLE’s ultra-long life LFP cells, designed for high power applications by offering a cycle life of 15,000 cycles. The MoU with Cygni Energy will help build cutting-edge storage solutions to support renewable energy integration.
Cygni Energy has expertise in EV batteries and energy storage systems, as also in telecom and solar hybrid solutions. The company’s manufacturing facility in Hyderabad boasts a production capacity of 1.2 GWh and features highly automated prismatic battery pack production lines. XDLE, with a global footprint and a production capacity of nearly 25 GWh, brings deep expertise in battery energy storage systems (BESS) and grid-scale energy storage solutions.
These cells are known for their safety, having passed rigorous tests, well-suited for low-temperature environments.
