CtrlS Datacenters plans to invest over USD two billion in the next three to four years to ramp up its capacity from 234 MW to over a GW. The plan includes expansion in Mumbai, Hyderabad, and Chennai, besides setting up data centres in 20 tier-II-and-III cities.
The company will invest Rs 4,000 crore in the Chennai Datacenter Park, across phases. It has five data centres in Mumbai, while in Hyderabad, it has three data centres and the third one is open for business. In Chennai, two data centres is to be delivered soon. In Chennai, it plans on hiring up to 500 people, and the impact of the entire business will create more than 9,000 associated opportunities. The company also has land holdings in Lucknow, Patna and Ahmedabad.
The first data centre building (Chennai DC 1) is fully booked and will start operations in the Q2 of this year. The second data centre building, (Chennai DC 2) is currently accepting bookings. Chennai DC 2 is a 10-floor structure with an IT load of 27 MW.
CtrlS Datacenters operates 15 data centres across eight key markets, has announced its plans to explore new overseas markets, and Thailand is its first international market foray.
