Clean Motion AB, a Swedish sustainable mobility company, is in the process of speeding up its expansion into the Indian electric vehicle (EV) market with a USD one million seed fund investment. The capital, secured through India Accelerator's Finvolve initiative, will be utilised for manufacturing facility in Pune, Maharashtra and boost the company's presence in the region.
Clean Motion, through its Indian subsidiary Clean Mobility Solution India, will leverage India's manufacturing capabilities and favourable environment to produce its flagship product 'Zbee', locally. This three-wheeled passenger EV is designed for first and last-mile connectivity, and will serve the Indian market and positioned for global export. It will fuel growth and sustainability in the EV sector, drive economic growth and further support global transition to cleaner and more efficient transportation solutions.
The company's plans also encompass the development of a robust EV charging infrastructure, featuring parking, plug-in chargers, and swappable batteries to support a fleet of Zbee vehicles. Its strategic allocation plan will help it scale its operations, focused on the country’s ‘Make in India’ efforts and and its positioning in the global urban mobility transportation space.
