Metro coaches for Bhopal and Indore is likely to be delivered in August, with trial runs starting in September. The project's work has speeded up in anticipation of achieving the Chief Minister's aim of launching regular metro services in March 2024.
Furthermore, infrastructure development for metro projects is currently underway.
Recently, the Chief Minister virtually inaugurated the manufacturing of coaches of the Madhya Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation (MPMRCL) at Alstom Transport India's Savli plant in Vadodara, Gujarat.
Alstom, a transportation system developer, will be manufacturing 81 coaches for Bhopal (27 trains of three coaches) and 75 coaches for Indore (25 trains of three coaches).
Likewise, Alstom is also manufacturing metro coaches for cities such as Delhi and Lucknow.
