Around 120 projects worth over Rs one lakh crore have been identified under the Sagarmala Scheme in Andhra Pradesh.
These projects will enhance the infrastructure related to port-led industrialisation, port modernisation, port connectivity, coastal community development, coastal shipping.
The state government has planned to push its cargo handling to 400 million tonne from the present 100 million tonne by 2024 by constructing four ports and eight fishing harbours.
