Apple India is targeting to manufacture around a fourth of all globally sold iPhones in India. This was discussed during the Inception Meeting of Business 20 (B20), the official G20 dialogue forum, which commenced on 22 January, 2023 at Gandhinagar in Gujarat as part of India's G20 presidency.
According to the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Apple’s manufacturing operations in India contribute to about five to seven percent of its global output. The company is further targeting to ramp up from its current volumes to 25 percent of the global manufacturing. The most recent models of the iPhone have been launched in India.
