The government of Andhra Pradesh will spend an amount of Rs 3,572.92 crore on restoration of all roads in the state in 2023.
As much as Rs 2,500 crore will be spend on R&B roads, while Rs 1,072.92 crore will be utilised towards Panchayat Raj Roads. The detailed project reports (DPRs) are ready for seven roads to be developed into national highways.
Land acquisition would be taken up for these roads, which include Bengaluru-Vijayawada, Khammam-Devarapalli, Madanapalle-Pileru, Renigunta-Naidupeta, Muddanuru-B Kothapalli-Gorantla, Tadipatri-Muddanuru, Mydukuru-Porumamilla-Itarampuram-Malakonda-Singarayakonda roads.
Moreover, seven projects will be taken up to provide better road connectivity to the neighbouring states.
These included Bengaluru-Chennai, Chittoor-Chennai, Raipur-Visakhapatnam, Sholapur-Kurnool, Hyderabad-Visakhapatnam and Nagapur-Vijayawada.
