Hindalco Industries is planning to mobilise funds through bonds to tie-up debt for its Aditya Aluminium project in Orissa.
The company has to raise a debt of Rs 7,875 crore for the 3,59,000-tpa aluminium smelter and 900-MW power plant slated for completion early 2013. The investment will also include developing an aluminium refinery with integrated bauxite mines.
Meanwhile its US subsidiary, Novelis Inc has acquired its JV partner British Petroleum's 60 per cent stake in Logan Aluminium Inc, which makes automotive sheets.
