The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) is set to open three highways by the end of April, 2024, which will bring respite for motorists travelling between Jaipur and Ajmer. Four more flyovers under construction on the Jaipur-Kishangarh stretch of the Ajmer Expressway, known as the National Highway-8, are expected to be opened by June, 2024.

The three flyovers will open these flyovers at Bandersindhri, Mahla and Sawarda crossings by end of this month. The work for five other flyovers at Bagru, Narsinghpura, Gadota, Mokahpura and Padasoli is in a near-completion stage, and work would be completed within next two months.

Efforts are ongoing to expedite completion of the Ajmer-bound flank of the Kamla Nehru Nagar crossing flyover. Overall, the nine flyovers would reduce the travel time between Ajmer and Jaipur considerably.

Post the construction of these nine flyovers, one can travel to-and-fro 200-ft. bypass crossing and Ajmer within two hours. In roadways projects, NHAI will also start construction of another flyover at Bhankrota crossing. Meanwhile, it will start work on cloverleafs at Mahapura for traffic entry and exit on southern ring road from this expressway.
