1. Boolean Searches :

i. AND - Shows results where both terms on either side of the 'AND' operator are present. 'AND' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi AND metro result - It will return records in which 'delhi' as well as 'metro' both are present.

ii. OR - Shows results where either term (or both terms) is present. 'OR' must be in upper case. For example search term - delhi OR metro result - It will return records in which either 'delhi' or 'metro' or both are present

2. Proximity Searches

A proximity search looks for terms that are within a specific distance from one another. For example, search term - 'delhi metro'~10 result - It will search for records where 'delhi' and 'metro' are found within 10 words of each other

3. Phrase searches

You can search phrases using double quotes. for e.g. 'delhi metro' result - It will return records where 'delhi metro' phrase is found.

Bengaluru Suburban Rail project to take off in October 2021

The tender process for Bengaluru Suburban Rail project will be set in motion in October 2021 with the project tender of 25 km long stretch between Baiyappanahalli and Chikkabanavara in Bengaluru, Karnataka.
 
On 10 June 2021, Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa reviewed the progress in the suburban rail project as well as other Metro Rail projects.
 
The tender process for the upcoming project will be completed by October 2021. The rail project if completed swiftly, traffic congestion in Karnataka’s capital will be reduced drastically.
 
The Indian Railways doubling project between Baiyappanahalli and Hosur (distance of 48 km); and Yeshwantpur and Channasandra (distance of 21.70 km) works are underway.
 
It further mentioned that the tender for an amount of Rs 323 crore has been given. Besides, construction of 12 bridges has already been completed and construction works of 20 bridges is under progress.
 
The Bengaluru Suburban Railway Project envisages development of four corridors, covering a route length of 148.17 km.
 
This ambitious rail project is being implemented by Rail Infrastructure Development Company, Karnataka (KRIDE), which is a joint venture (JV) company set up as a special purpose vehicle (SPV) by the Railway Ministry along with the state government of Karnataka.
 
The proposed project is to be completed in a period of six years. The project will be developed with an estimated cost of Rs 15,767 crore.
