A Tamil Nadu-based manufacturing company has secured a contract from global aerospace company, Boeing, to supply critical aviation components, and deliveries would begin early in 2022.
Aerospace Engineers (AEPL) has won a long-time contract and this is a first such contract for the state from Boeing.
AEPL would be setting up a new manufacturing facility at an investment of Rs 150 crore, dedicated for civil aerospace production at Hosur, Tamil Nadu, over the next 24 months.
It will have a covered building space of 1,25,000 s q ft and also expand its present Salem facility by 50,000 sq ft.
The additional facilities would create job opportunities for 1,000 youngsters. It would begin delivering the critical components to Boeing from Q1/2022.
